A muslim ethnic group, the Rohingya, have been persecuted for decades by the predominately Buddhist government causing a genocide.

An ongoing civil war and a cold war between Saudi Arabia and Iran has created a civil war. Iran backed Houthi rebels have started a civil war against the Saudi backed government.

Riots have erupted over Nicholas Maduro, the president creating a humanitarian and refugee crisis.  The issues in Venezuela have been long forgotten, so it is important we pay attention to this issue . 

Displacement in Central America  has created a crisis due to violence, corruption, and poverty all over Central America. This issue has become normalized and is in desperate need to be helped. 

There has been an ongoing humanitarian crisis where over 3 million Iraqis live as refugees due to internal displacement. War and US led invasions have caused the country to collapse and millions to become refugees. The Iraqi crisis is a perfect example of the effects of conflict and violence.

 Droughts, famines, and violence have caused this crisis. Poor rainfall and harvests have also contributed to the cause. These issues have lead to mass amounts of starvation where over 6 million Somalians went hungry in one year. All of these issues have also lead to a refugee crisis. Somalians desperately need your help. 

 Over 226.7 million people are suffering from hunger in Africa. Places such as Nigeria, Somalia, and South Sudan’s hunger crises are escalating day by day. This crisis is based on hunger and malnutrition. Many factors such as continual increase of population growth, unfair trading structures, diseases, and armed conflicts prevent Africa to feed its people. 

Between 2017 and 2019, 5.01 million people in the DR Congo were displaced from their homes due to violence. The conflicts are specifically in Kasai, Tanganyika, Ituri, and Kivu regions. People who have experienced violence in these countries have fled to Angola and Zambia for shelter.  These violent conflicts have caused thousands to become refugees. There is an impending humanitarian crises that is in need of aid.

There has been an ongoing emergency on Northern Nigeria die to a violent terrorist organization that has inflicted mass casualties and deaths. The area where Boko Haram is most present, the Lake Chad Basin has been home to ongoing violence causing thousands to flee to neighboring countries. This area has been especially violent for NGOs like the Bill Gates foundation where a worker was fatally shot. 

 Alzheimers and dementia are afflictions that impact over 50 million people world-wide. These degenerative diseases directly impact the brain's cognitive function, which in turn leads to mental, emotional, and intellectual instability and/or decline. 

The Syrian Crisis emerged from the Syrian conflict. There was originally a dictator named Bashar Al-Assad who fired at his people who were peacefully demonstrating against the dictatorship during Arab Spring demonstrations. The country immediately fell into chaos where terrorist organizations create absolute anarchy. Over 600,000 Syrians have died due to this conflict.

The Burundi situation, a long forgotten humanitarian crisis, began with an uproar in 2015. In 2015, protests broke out against the president seeking a third term in re-election. The protests escalated, and they eventually led to violent riots. Many people fled to neighboring African countries, but the refugees still need help.

The Chinese government has kept a majority muslim ethnic group, the Uyghurs of Xin Jiang province, in concentration camps. Hundreds of thousands are kept in these camps and are forced to change their muslim ideas. Many identify as turks, but the Chinese government has brutally oppressed them into obedience. They are in desperate need and are calling for our help.

Many issues have created an ongoing humanitarian crisis such as violence, fear, insecurity, and poverty. Afghans have endured hardship for too long and are in desperate need of an education and a livable country without violence and terror over 3 million children do not receive na education explaining the need for aid.

 In Burkina Faso, a humanitarian crisis is sprouting, where the lives of several civilians are being disrupted by insecurity and violence. Over 267,000 people have fled the country, and 16,000 are taking refuge in neighboring countries. Many people were also killed in counter-military operations. 

Due to the occupation of Palestinian lands by a neighboring country, Palestine has gone through an unmanageable crisis. Many children lack an education, and many families lack aid because foreign countries and NGOs do not aid Palestinian territories due to the lack of freedom to by the Israeli government. 

The Central African Republic has been rocked by the looming threat of armed groups. These armed groups have caused hundreds of thousands of Central Africans to flee their homes to neighboring countries. Crises in Africa have become so common that we have forgotten about the,, so it is of utmost importance that we focused on ones like these. 

Recently emerging as a new country under the Obama administration, rebel groups have created a frightening hunger emergency potentially leading to genocide. The civil war in 2013 has also lead to mass rape of South Sudanese women. It is important that we act now before South Sudan heads towards the brink of collapse or worse genocide. . .
