Between 2017 and 2019, 5.01 million people in the DR Congo were displaced from their homes due to violence. The conflicts are specifically in Kasai, Tanganyika, Ituri, and Kivu regions. People who have experienced violence in these countries have fled to Angola and Zambia for shelter. For example, Kadima Kabenge, a miner who fled attacks in the Kasai Province, said that armed men killed his wife and three of his children and he does not even know why. Conflicts such as this one forced Congolese people to leave their homes.
