 The Uyghurs ethnocide is an ethnocide of the Uyghur Muslims in Xinjiang, China. This ethnocide is designed to take away the culture of the Uyghur Muslims in Xinjiang. The Uyghur Muslims are put into internment camps to talk bad about their culture and to learn and follow Chinese culture; however, China claims these camps are for de-extrimification and reeducation but evidence shows it isn’t that at all. The reason China is doing this is because they view all Uyghur Muslims as terrorists and there are also many trade routes which are in Xinjiang which help China trade so China wants complete control of Xinjiang. Additionally, Xinjiang is rich in resources which China also wants to keep a hold of. What we can do to help is expose the Chinese government and these internment camps. Also we can also try to help the Uyghur Muslims who aren’t already in the internment camps.
